J Grace & his widow held part of this farm for many years, she desiring to give it up,it was let to nephew JV at LD 1774 added to & altered in this manner. Sept 1790, everything turned out so bad; determined he should quit next LD. Jos Smyth of Grafton stepped in etc & on year's trial. Mangement of affairs got worse, old Valentine resigned farm to his son, John Valentine from LD 1795 but he (the son) dies Nov. 1795. August 1796 let to Benjamin Brittain, to whom JV's widow had given possession. Cottages 15 & 16 taken from him (but 12 retained) |

The management & affairs getting worse, old Valentine resigned the farm over to his son from LD 1795. This young man died the following November. In August 1796 the farm was let to Benjamin Brittain, to whom the son's widow had given possession. |
