This tenant hath been upon the farm above 7 years and is now in arrears half a year more than any other tenants is supposed to have come upon the farm without sufficient stock, is a very indifferent manager and poor, is was likewise the last farm that was let by which means all the worst of the land was left both in the Common fields and likewise in the Inclosure and almost all the latter are a great distance from the house. Am therefore in doubt if the Common field as it is the worst and what was left by all the other tenants should not be above £6.6.0 which will reduce his rent to near £60. But I do not think it a Dear farm £60 per ann. |
