Thomas Caves held a house barn &c at Yardley, an Assart lying between the London Rd. & the Forest & some field land by Copy of Court Roll during his Life and he dying the 16th. January 1747 these premises then fell into His Grace and the Assart was reserved for His Grace's use & laid to another which Thomas Harris held till Laday 1748 to make a Nursery for Timber. George Caves had the refusal of the rest of his father's premises above mentioned at £20 a year untill 14th. July 1748 When (he having declared he would gived no more than £15 a year for them). John Boswell entered into an Article for a Lease of the said house barns & field for a 9 years from Mich. 1748 at the Yearly rent of £20, at which rate Caves is here charged from the 6 Jan. 1747 to Laday 1748 & from thence to Mich. 1748. |

This is a cottage & orchard which was held by Copy of Court Rolls for three lives the last whereon dropped sometime in or about the year 1743 but no presentment made thereof at any Court afterwards or mention made of it by the Baliff tho. He lives in the same (Yardley) And it was not discovered till June 1747 when the woman had been in possession of it ever since it fell in alledging inabillity to pay any money. She was turned out & Woodward admitted upon condition to pay rent from Lay Day 1749 |
