where he had greatly distinguished himself by his gallant conduct

Present at the Battles of Corunna,
Siege and taking of Badajos, Vittoria,
Pyrenees, Nive, Nivelle, Orthes, Toulose,
Waterloo.
Served as Resident in Zante
and A.A.G in Dublin.
Sold out of the Army 1835.
In Parliament for many sessions.
A steady Liberal in politics,
died
June 17th 1865.

buried in this church February the 8th 1808,
whose virtues rendered her the object
of the tendered affection during life
and afford the most consoling hopes
of her eternal happiness to her surviving husband,
by whom this monument is erected.

Lord JAMES HENRY FITZROY
born 19th of April 1804, deceas'd 26th July 1834
He was the third surviving son of
GEORGE HENRY, Duke of Grafton, and CHARLOTTE MARIA, his wife,
the second daughter of JAMES Earl of WALDEGRAVE.
His life, tho' but a span, was accompanied in its course
by the esteem of affectionate relations and of sincere friends,
as his death was an occasion to them all,
of deep affliction and regret.
"Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" Job chap. II. V.10th.
"It is the Lord: let Him do what seemeth Him good." I Samuel, Chap.III, v 18th.
