In gods name amen. The year of our lord 1559 23 day Dec. I Thomas Baker yeoman dwelling in grafton [with]in the county of Northampton[shire] do make my last will and testament in manner and forme followynge First I bequeathe my soule to almightie god and to all the holy company in heaven and my bodie to be buried in the churchyard of Grafton aforesaid I will that there be a mark of good and lawfull money of England to be bestowed for my soules health at the discreation of my wiffe.Item [will] that my mother at Brackley have 4 pieces of pewter and a pair of sheets. [Item will that Jone my maid have a sheep for her pains.] Item gyve to Elizabeth my daughter in lawe a cowe. Item gyve to Margery 2 silver sponds Item to Robert my best coat. Item gyve to my brother [par]son my grynston at Stony Stratford The residue of all my goodes I gyve to Jone my wiffe whom I make my full executrix to paie all my legacies and [receyve] all my debts due unto me Witness hereof John kirbie & Thomas Goodman and with others
