William Lumbard 1498

In the Name of God Amen 10 day Dec. in the year of Our Lord 1498. I William Lumbard [whole] in body and mind etc. being my will in this manner. In primis I bequeath my spirit to God Almighty etc. and my body to be buried in the parish church of Grafton or the cemetery of the same, as it pleases Reere* my brother. Item I wish that all my Debts be faithfully payed. Item I bequeath to the Mother Church at Lincoln 4d. Item I bequeath to the lights of the sepulchre in the church at Grafton aforesaid [two sheep]. Item to the other lights in the same church one half of corn. Item to the altar one half of brushwood Item I bequeath to each of my children goods and chattels of mine to the value of twenty shillings. Item I bequeath to Alice my daughter 20 shillings or to the value 20 shillings to the residue of my goods not bequeathed And I bequeath to Joanne my wife [the residue] .
