I Mary Read of Grafton Regis in the County of Northampton spinster being of sound and disposing mind and memory (praised be God for the same) do this present ffith day of October in the fifth yeare of the reigne of our soverign Lord georg the second by the Grace of Great Brittain ffrance and Ireland king Defender of the ffaith 1731 make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following ffirst and principally I commend my soule into the hands of almighty God my Creator hoping to be saved by the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my Redeemer secondly I commit my body to the Earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executors herein after named And as touching the disposition of such temporal Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with all I give and dispose thereof as follows Imprimis I give and devise and bequeath all my Estate lying and being in South Croatton in the county of Leicester with all and singular the appurtenances there unto belonging and late in the tenure of Leonard Stinton deceased to my nephew William ffinall of Grafton aforesaid his heires and assigns forever and likewise all personal Estate whatsoever Upon Condition he my said Nephew shall pay and discharge my debts legarcies and what my personall Estate shall fall short of payment of my said debts and legarcies I will direct and appoint shall be discharged out of my said Estate att South Croatton aforesaid item I give to all my Nieces Twenty shillings a piece and to their mother ffive pounds Lastly I constitute and appoint my said nephew sole Executors of this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have sett my hand and seale the day and yeare above written signed sealed published and declared by the Executrix her last Will and Testament in the presence of Agnes Herbert Edward Conn John Waterman
