Nicholas Windmill 1673
In the Name of God Amen the Tewentisixt day of may 1673 according to the Computation of the Church of England I Nicholas Windmill of Grafton Regis in the County of Northamton Taylor being of perfect Memory & rememorance parised be god doe make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and form following: Viz:
First: I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing that through the Meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to regeine free pardon and forgivness of all my sins: and as for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discrtion of my Executrix
Item: I give unto Jone my wife my dwelling house during her Widdowhod or the tearme of her natural life.
Item I give to my two daughters Elizabeth and Mary my dweling house after theire Mothers Widdowhod or Natural life
Item I give unto my two daughters Elizabeth and mary I give to eather of them tenn pounds a piece to be paid unto them at theire Mothers Deseas or be fore that time and if theire Mother shall thinke it Convenent
Item I give unto my sonne John the part of that Lase belonging to me of the Farme called Windimls ffarme: it is my Will that hee my said sonne shall enter of that part of the Farme aforesaid at or upon the fist day of June in the yeare of our Lord god onthousand sixhundered seventy and nine and If hee my sonne John should dy before that time then my Will is that my two daughters shall have my part of the said ffarme equally devided betwixt them both
Item I give my two daughters Elizabeth and Mary all my household goods after theire Mothers desease
Item my Will is that Jone my Wife shall be my lawfull Executrix of this my last Will and Teastament
