AN INCIDENT WITH THE GRAFTON

The Grafton Hounds met at Halse on Friday last week, and in the course of the morning's run quite an exciting incident occured. The fox, being hard pressed, ran into Brackley. It manged to mount a small wall of one of the houses in High Street, and then get onto the roof. It proceeded along several roofs in full view of a number of persons, and great excitement prevailed. Hounds and hunters quickly came onto the Square, an the scene was an exceedingly interesting and somewhat remarkable one. Ladders were procured and after some difficulty the fox was brought down from his singular place of refuge, and taken into the open, and after being allowed fair law was ultimately run down and killed near Brackley Gorse.
