Bills and Invoices
part 1

  • In the Grafton Collection at the N.R.O. are many thousands of bills and invoices which cover the maintenance and running of the whole of the Grafton Estate in Northamptonshire. The majority of the following transcriptions are for Grafton Regis.
  • By extracting the information pertaining to Grafton Regis it is possible to find out when, where, how and by whom the work was carried out, thereby discovering how the village developed and evolved.
  • The same research procedure could be applied to any village on the estate.
