Copy of the H.M. Inspectors Report
Received May 28th. 1925
The children in this little school are very happy and work is carried out with an unusual degree of spontaneity and with absence of formality.
The older scholars are making satisfactory progress in the elementary subjects and a very creditable standard has been reached.
The infants, who comprise exactly half of the school, are not nearly so well handled, and it would be well if the Mistress made herself more fully conversant with modern methods and the use of appropriate individual apparatus so that the younger scholars could be profitably employed while attention is being given to the children in the upper classes.
Reading primers of a better type are needed. The sound values of letters, systematic word-building drill, and a clear correlation between Reading & Writing in the early stages are points which require special attention.

1928 Copy of H.M.I's Report received on Nov. 20th.
Since the issue of the last report the older children have been transferred to a neighboring school and the scholars now comprise Infant & Juniors only.
The present Mistress has been in charge a little over 2 years: she has worked with unceasing patience and diligence and has succeeded in arousing and maintaining the keenest interest of the children in their lessons. The school is a happy little hive of industry and in most subjects the children are making very satisfactory progress.
In Arithmetic, there is danger of covering too much ground before the rules have been properly consolidated, and a systematic revision of back work, together with much practice in mental calculations was suggested.
Reading is taught with more than average success, the children recite well chosen poems in a creditable manner, but in the power of expressing themselves freely in written Composition the children are not so proficient as the former subjects
Much of the work is done in connection with Needlework & Handwork is deserving of praise: careful attention is given to the physical needs of the scholars and the use of the gramophone for Country Dancing and other forms of activity is likely to make this side of school work still more attractive.
