A Survey of a Messuage and several parcels of land being in the parish of Grafton Regis annexted to the Honor of Grafton in the County of Northampton late parcel of the possession or late belonging to Charles Stewart late king of England made and taken by whose names are here unto subscribed in the Month of September 1653 by virtue of a Commission grounded upon an Act of the [Commons] of England in [Parliament] and assembled for sale of ye Honnor Mannor & lands here to fore belonging to the late king & [Prince] under ye hands & seales of five or more of the Trustees in ye ... Act named & appointed.

All that Tenament with the Appertenances there unto belonging Lying and being in the parish of Grafton Regis annexted to the Hon. of Grafton in the County of Northampton parcel of the possession of Charles Stewart late king of England & now in the occupation of Richard Perry consisting of two bays of building with a little plot of ground there unto adjoining, bounded with Grafton Towne streete South and Land of Richard Worley north and butting on the land of Thomas Bell east Conteying by estimation 00-00-10 vjs. viijd.

One Parcell of Lea Ground or Pasture ground lying in the Fenn field bounded with land of Anne Goodman Wid. South West and Yardley field North East, butting on Yardley Field East, now in the occupation of the parishioners of Grafton conteyning by estymation 01-00-00 vjs.

Three parcels of Arable ground lying in a field called the high field in the use of the said parishioner. The first bounded with Grafton Cow pasture South, with John Atterbury's land North East and butting on the land of Mr. Richard Wardley North west. The second parcel of land lying on a furlong called well spring Leas bounded with the land of John Atterbury South and with the Land of William Smith North East , Butting South East on Roe Brook, this is also in the occupation of the said parishioners. The Third in the occupation of William Seawell lying on [hill] furlong bounded with the Land of Richard Worley North West all those severall parcels conteyne by estymaten 02-00-00 xijs.

One parcel of Meadow ground belonging to the premises lying in a place called the Mill holmes, which is I the parish of Potterspury bounded with the Land that was lately John Battoms South East and butting on a parcel of Meadow belonging to Yardley Mill, the land of Mr. John Hazellrigs South East, and Butting on Grafton Meadowing that runs by lott North East conteyning by estymacen 01-02-00 xxvs. vjd.

The total of Arrable Leas and Meadow 04-02-10 ls. ijd

There is also belonging to the said premises two Cow Gates which wee value to bee worth per. Ann. vs.

Memorandum the premises aforesaid are claymed by the Inhabitants of the Towne of Grafton but nothing appeared [untoward] to make good there clayme although wee somonded them there unto. And therefore lease it to the further ... of the honorable the Trustees.
