Constantine sat about all day watching the planting and got a deep cold from which he died1

Alexander felt sorry for the children of Robert1 and so included them (only Louisa and Lavinia alive127) in his will127

He felt badly that his brother Robert did not inherit any of the estate on his father’s death1

Thomas was a handsome lad, short, with black hair and dark brown eyes

Thomas was 13 when his father died and up until that time he hunted and was allowed full liberty

Lord Southampton, Master of the Hounds asked his father, ‘Greaves, what will you make of your boy?’

Loved the land and was unwilling to enter any business after his father died.. He could not endure the town life and emigrated to South Australia

Thomas was disappointed that he did not inherit Haversham Manor at the death of his uncle Edmund (b1805 d 1867) but he had never written to him up until the time the will was made - after he went to South Australia. He had given much trouble to his Uncle Edmund and it was not surprising he did not wish to commit the business of the family into his hands1
