In the name of God Amen I Michaell Bostocke of Haversham in the Countie of Bucks Clerke being paynes in bodie but of perfect mind and Remembrance thanks God doe make this my present Testament conteying therein my Last will in manner and form following First I bequeath my Soule into the Hands of God my mercifull Creator and redeemer hopeinge to be saved by the meritts of Jesus Christ my Bodie to be decently buried in the earth. Hopeing for Blessed resurrection of the same by the Lord Jesus who dyed for my sinnes and rose again for my Justification And for my worldlie goods I thus appoint as followeth First I give unto Robert Bostocke my eldest sonne Twentie pounds of Lawfull Monie of England to be paid him within one Moneth next after my death and to him the said Robert my sonne I give all my Divinitie BooksItem I give unto my sonne Michaell Bostocke one Hundred and Twentie ponds of Like monie To be paid him within one yeare next after my Death Item I give unto my sonne Richard Bostocke one Hundred and Twentie Pounds of Like monie to be paid unto him within one Moneth next after the expiration of the terme of his Apprentureshipp Item I give unto Edmond Bostocke my sonne one Hundred and Twentie pounds of Like Monie to be paid unto him at the Time of his Accomplishment of the Age of Two and Twentie years And my will is That if anie of my said Three Sonnes Michaell Richard and Edmond shall happen to die before the time or Times herein before appointed for the payment to them of their severall Portions of one Hundred and Twentie Pounds a peece Then the Legacie or Legacies herein bequeathed to him or them soe dying shall remain and be to the Survivors and survivor of them the said Michaell Richard and Edmond Item I give and devise unto my said Three Sonnes Michaell Richard and Edmond my House Lands and Closes with their Appurtenances Lying and beinge as I being in the Countie of Buckingham To have and to hold the Same and every of them from and after the death of Frances my wife (who is to hold and enjoy the Same for and during the Terme of her Life but to the said Michaell Richard and Edmond their Heirs and Assignes forever as Tenants in Common That is to say one Third part thereof to the said Michaell his Heirs and Assignes And the other Third part thereof to the said Richard his Heirs and Assignes And the other Third part thereof unto the said Edmond his Heirs and Assignes Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Good wife of Thomas Good And unto Thomas Good her sonne And unto Frances Good and Elizabeth Good her Daughters One Hundred pounds To be thus disposed of First I will That the said one Hundred pounds Last mentioned shalbe delivered into the Hands of William Goddard and Thomas Travell of Haversham aforesaid Gentlemen or the survivor of them To be by or the survivor of them put forth for the use and behoofe of my said Daughter and of her Three children the Interest use benefitt of it yearlie to be paid to my said daughter towards her maintenance during her Naturall Life And after her decease and death my will is That the said one Hundred Pounds shall remain and be and shalbe paid to her Three Children That is to say fiftie pounds thereof to her Sonne Thomas Good Thirtie pounds of it to her Daughter Frances Good and Twentie pounds re…ne thereof to her daughter Elizabeth Good And in case anie of the said three Children of my said daughter Elizabeth shall happen to die before the said Elizabeth their Mother Then my will is That the part or portion of the said Children or Child soe dyinge shall remaine and be to the Survivors or Survivor of them Item I give unto Dorothie Bostocke my Daughter one Hundred pounds To be paid her within one yeare next after my death. Item I give unto Alice Bostocke my Daughter one Hundred Pounds to be paid her at her Accomplishment of the Age of her eighteene years or att her Marriage which shall first happen Item I give unto my daughter Marie Woolhead the wife of William Woolhead Twentie shillings To be paid her within one Quarter of a yeare after my death Item I give to William Woolhead my Grandchild sonne of the said Marie my daughter Thirteen Shillings and four pence to buy him Anie Ewe and Lambe which I hope his Father will bring up for him Item I give to the poore of Haversham abovesaid Twentie shillings to be distributed amongst them within one week after my Death Item I give to Thomas Good my Grandchild Tenn pounds to place him Apprentize when he comes to fit age to some Handie=craft Trade whereby he may get his Liveinge Item I give unto the said William Goddard and Thomas Travell Six shillings eight pence a peece for a small remembrance of my Love unto them All ye rest of my goods Cattle and Chattles my debts by me owing beinge paid And my Legacies performed as aforesaid And my buriall Charges defrayed I give unto Frances Bostocke my beloved wife which said Frances my wife I nominate make and appoint the full and sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament hopeing that she will be kind to and carefull of my Children to give them allwaise her good Councell and Assistance in whatever she is able And I desire and intreat my Loving friends the said William Goddard and the said Thomas Travell to be overseers of this my Last will and Testament intreating them to assist and helpe my said wife And in sellinge my goods Corne Hay and Cattle without Dores to the best Advantage for the raisinge of monies for the payment of my Legacies and in the callinge in and recoveringe such Monies as are due to me uppon Bonds or otherwise And doe hereby revoke and make void All former and other wills Legacies and bequests by me anie Time heretofore made and given And doe publish and declare this my present Testament to be my verie Last will and none other nor otherwise In witness whereof I the said Michaell Bostocke have hereunto sett my Hand and Seale Dated the one and Twentieth daie of Februarie in the yeare of our Lord God accordinge to the Accompt used in England One Thousand Six Hundred fiftie and five Michaell Bostocke Signed sealed published and declared and delivered by the said Michael Bostocke the Testator as and for his Last will and Testament in the presence of John Brathwaise John Alsope Ser: Tho: Watkins his Servt:
