Relying on the mercy of a Gracious and Almighty providoure as to every future period of existence I look forward now with the daily expectation of the termination of this life and are therefore resolute and make this present writing my last will and Testament hereby revoking all other and future Wills by me at any time heretofore made and I appoint a George Lipscombe Doctor in Medicine of Whitchurch in the County of Bucks Executor of this my last Will with all the rights Imminiaties [amenities] powers and privileges of Executorship I give and bequeath to Andrew Meadows my present servant all my livestock stable furniture Carriages and Hay and Fodder from the seventh day after my funeral and one hundred pounds in money payable at the End of three months I give and bequeath to John Atterbury all the furniture and books in the School room and five in money payable at the end of three months I give and bequeath to Peter Tilley twenty pounds payable at the end of six months and if he be disappointed in this provision I would remind him that he wantonly permitted my feelings to be wounded by the lopping of trees which he might have prevented I give my Gracious Cup bound with silver to Mr. Joseph Kitilee of Castlethorpe as a small but grateful acknowledgement of his kindness to me in my boyhood I give forty pounds to George Baker of Northampton I bequeath my body to my Executor in trust that he cause it to be buried in the Churchyard of Haversham according to such directions as I may leave in writing or at his discretion if I leave none In Witness whereof I have writ and this Will my own hand and have hereunto a affixed my seal in my Rectory house of Haversham and have published it as my last Will and Testament this eighteenth day of December 1823 Ed Cooke

Directions for conducting my funeral that lets the funeral take place at nine o’Clock in the morning let tea and Coffee but neither wine nor spirits unless particularly ask for be provided for the persons in attendance Let Mr. Smith of Passenham be requested to read the funeral service and let’s  a Chaise be sent to fetch him and take him home again Let  Dr Lipscombe and the Apothecary be requested to procede the Corpse let the four persons who have chiefly waited upon me in my lifetime namely Luke Newbury Thomas Holdom Andrew Meadows and John Atterbury be requested to wait on me for the last time and support the Pall over the Coffin and let it be signified to them that I wish them to come to the funeral in their usual dress and not in mourning Let these six persons to be requested to follow Mr Roger Rollffe & Mr Richd Kittilee as relations Mr Geo Baker & Mr Joseph Kitelee as friends Mr Alexd Greaves & Mr Thos Greaves as neighbours Let no the other person whatsoever be invited to attend the funeral except the undertaker nether the Carpenter nor any Workmen let all those persons & the undertaker and Parish Clerk have Silk hatbands scarfs and Gloves and all the same Quality and let no Crape whatsoever be used.

This Will as Contained in two paper writings marked A and B was proved at London the 5th April 1824 before the Worshipful Jesoe Addams Dr of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of George Lipscombe in the Will written Lipscombe Dr of Medicine the sole Executor to whom Admon was given having been first sworn duly to Administer
