In the name of God Amen This is the last Will and Testament of me John Dawkes of Haversham in the County of Bucks as followeth First I Will direct and appoint that all my just debts and funeral Charges be fully paid and satisfied by my Executor hereinafter named Itum I give to Elizabeth Heddlly Widow of Causgrove in Northampton County the sum of one half Guinea Next I Give to Ann Hindes of Causgrove aforesaid Widow the like sum of one half Guinea Next I Give to Mary Westly wife of Robert Westly of Causgrove aforesaid the like sum of one half Guinea Next I Give to Ann Tilly of Olderton [Alderton] in the County of Northampton aforesaid the sum of fifty shillings Next I Give to Mary Rogers wife of William Rogers of Olderton [Alderton] aforesaid the like sum of fifty shillings Next I Give to Mary Hollis wife of Thomas Hollis of Haversham in the County of Bucks the like sum of one half Guinea Next I Give to William Eliss Servant of William Hobcraft of Haversham aforesaid the sum of one Guinea Next I Give to Peter Tilly of Haversham aforesaid my silver Watch after his decease to go to his own son Peter Tilly Next I Give to Richard Tilly Servant London the like sum of one Guinea all the above mentioned legacies to be paid by my Executor herein after named in twelve months after my decease out of a Mortgage of a house of William Hindes of of Hanslop in the County of Bucks to me for fifteen pounds and not Elsewhere Itum I Give to John Web Farmer of Hanslop aforesaid the sum of Nineteen pounds which he gave to me a note of promise for upon Condition the said John Web pays Ann Tilly of Olderton [Alderton] aforesaid the sum of Twenty shillings a year during the natural life of the aforesaid Ann Tilly but if the said John Web should neglect to pay the same I leave it to the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named Lastly I Give to Ann Tilley of Olderton [Alderton] as aforesaid twenty shillings yearly during the term of her natural life to be paid by my Executor hereinafter named all the rest residue and remainder of my goods Chattels and effects of what sort or kind soever which I shall die possessed of interested in or any ways intitled to I Give to Elizabeth Tilley wife of Peter Tilly of Haversham aforesaid and I do make nominate and appoint the said Elizabeth Tilley Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal this thirteenth day of July in the fifteenth year of the reign of sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord Christ One thousand seven hundred seventy and six John Dawks his mark Signed sealed published and declared by the testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the and the same was attested in the testators presence and in the presence of each other By us Jonathan Herbert Daniel France

Proved the 9th day of October 1780 before the Revd. Luke Heslop Batchelor in Divinity Archdeacon and Commissary of the Archdeaconry of Bucks by the oath of Elizabeth the wife of Peter Tilly the sole Executrix to whom Administration was committed she being first sworn duly to administer
