In the Name of god Amen I Joyce Rutlande of Haversham in the countie of Bucks widowe beinge weake in bodie, but of memory perfect and sound, doe make this my last will in manner and forme followinge; ffirst I give and bequeath my soule to allmightie god, our heavenly ffather, trustinge to be saved by the merits of Jesus Christe the author and finisher of our faith; and my bodie to be buried in the parishe churchyard of Haversham aforesaide; and for my worldly goods to be disposed of as followeth; Imprimis viz: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne, my cowe and also my ewe, the bedsteede that stands in the nether chamber with the feather bedd, one boulster, twoe pillows, one paire of sheets, one paire of blankets, and a coverlet belonginge to the aforesaide bedd; and also the cubberd that stands in the hall, one brasse pott with the hookes, and racke belonginge to it twoe new kettles, a skimmer, three pewter platters, one pewter candlesticke, fower of the bigger ioyned stooles, and one of the leser, the table and the frame, that standes in the upper chamber, twoe tubs, one of the bigger, and the other the lesser, one barrel, the best kimmell, one meale sive one paire of flaxen sheets and one towel, twoe table napkins, the cofer that stands at the bedds heade in the lofte over the nether chamber, one good churme, and a worser churme a gridiron; and also the boards that be laide over the lofte over the nether chamber; All those aforesaide goods to be delivered unto the use of my daughter aforesaid at my decease; ffuthermore my last will and meaning is that if it shall please allmightie god to take me to his mercy out of this present world, before the ffifteenth daie of May next comminge, that John Samme my sonne in lawe shall keepe and winter the aforesaide cowe and ewe and the lambe that I have given to my goddaughter Anne ffairie, as he doth his owne, until the daie before mentioned; yeildinge the profitt of the cowe and of ewe unto my daughter Anne aforesaide, and the profit of the lambe unto my goddaughter Anne ffairie, and then to deliver them peaceably and quietly unto them; Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane my great kettle, and a little kettle a posnet, the rownd table, and the cofer that standes in the nether chamber, one new ioyned stoole, and twoe other stooles, one saltinge trough, one kimmell, twoe tubes the bedsteede that standes in the lofte, over the nether chamber with the woollie bedd belonginge to it; one feather pillowe, and a salt barrel, to be delivered unto her as before mentioned at my decease; Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne James Rutland xxs: Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Rutland xijd Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Dorothie xijd Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth xijd Item I give and bequeath unto my god daughter Anne ffaerie my lambe to be delivered unto her on the fifteenth daie of May next; Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne in lawe John Samme all the rest of my goods in the world that are unbequeathed whom I doe make my full executor of this my last will and testament after my debts paide and my funeral discharged; Item I doe desire my brother Thomas Sturges to be overseer to this my last will and testament desiring him that he will see it, justly and truly performed and I doe give him six pence for his paines; signed and sealed in the presence of Mich: Bostocke John Sausbrey
