In dei nomini Amen ye ffyrst daye of September anno domini 1561 I John Warren of Haversham in the countie of Bucks husbandman make my last will and testament as followethe ffyrst I beqth my soule to allmyghte god and my boddie to be buried in the churche of Havsersham beforesaid Item I beqth to ye same churche for leyinge my belle therein vjs viijd and to ye porre mens boxe xijd and to ye reparyinge of ye highe waye xijd Item I beqth to everie one of my godchildren iiijd to Gregorie Raynolds halfe a quarter of barley to John Raynolds halfe a quarter of barley and a coat Item I beqth to Elyzabeth Perrye a ewe and to Joyes her daughter a ewe to Richard Nicholls a woosted dublet and vjs viijd to henrie Warren my best coat to ffrancis wood a ewe to my brother henries sone a lambe and to Thomas Godfrey halfe a quarter of barley The rest of my goods unbequethed my debts and funeral charges beynge paid I geve and beqth to Joan my wyffe and to John Hopkyns with ye lease of my ferme to be equallie devided betwexte them And yf that fortune that ye said John Hopkyns departe this world before he comes to ye age of xv yeres Then I will that William Hopkyns his brother shall have all ye before said goods with Joan my wyffe to his use and profects And for ye performyng of this my last will and testament I ordene and make Joan my wife and William Hopkyns my lawfull executors These beynge witneses John Rawlynson Clarke parson of Haversham James Shawe Clarke ye vicar of Bradwell Thomas Lane prest
