In the Name of God Amen I John Kirtland of Little Linford in the County of Bucks being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding (Praised be God for the same) Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First and Principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it hoping to be saved through the merits of Jesus Christ my body I commit to the Earth to be decently Interred at the Discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and as to such Worldly Estate as it hath Pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as follows First I will that all such debts as I shall justly owe at the time of my decease and my Funeral Charges be in the first place fully paid and satisfied by my Executor hereinafter named. Next I give and devise unto my sister Mary Lowe (wife of Humphrey Lowe now a servant to the Bishop of Winchester) my moiety or half part and share which I have with her Of and in All that Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances situate standing and being in Adderbury in the County of Oxford To Hold to her my said sister Mary Lowe and to her heirs and Assigns for ever Next I give unto my brother Robert Kirtland of Adderbury aforesaid shoemaker the sum of fforty five Pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid him by my Executor hereinafter named within six Months next after my decease Next I give unto Sarah Abbott of Little Linford aforesaid my Fellow servant for a Recompense and satisfaction for her care towards me in my illness the sum of ffive Pounds of like lawfull money to be paid her by my Executor hereinafter named within six Months next after my decease And Lastly all the rest, residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattells, real and Personal Estate whatsoever not herein before by me devised and bequeathed I give devise and bequeath the same to my brother Thomas Kirtland of Newport Pagnell in the said County of Bucks Distiller And I do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint my said Brother Thomas Kirtland sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking disannulling and making void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made And do Declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the ffifteenth day of July in the Twenty first Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and King Defender of the ffaith and so forth in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty seven John Kirtland Signed and Sealed Published and Declared by the said John Kirtland the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who have subscribed our names as Witnesses here to at his request and in his presence and in the Presence of each other Judith Pinkard John Burges Tho Holt Jun.

Proved the 13th day of October 1747 before Edmund Green surrogate by the oath of Thomas Kirtland ..all and lawfully b.oe. and sole Executor to whom Administration was Committed he being first sworn duely to Administer
