Church open for casual visitors as well as for participants in the Bucks Historic Ride and Stride sponsored event.
Come and visit a church designed by George Street (architect of the Royal Courts of Justice). Built in 1857 on land donated by the railway company. 12th C Norman arch doorway from ruined St Peter’s, Stanton Low installed 1969. Stone pulpit and font; oak side altar (1700) from St Peter’s. Two ancient tombstones from St Peter’s commemorating Stantonbury families. Stained glass windows: East 1951; Lady Chapel 1892; West 1964 (by Stammers); North aisle 1897 (by Moira); South aisle 1911. Organ: Peter Conacher & Co., Huddersfield c 1920. Mechanical tracker action with electric extensions. 2 manuals, (Great & Swell), Pedalboard and electric blower. 18 stops & 4 couplers. Ancient oak chest possibly 17th C; carving of St Peter’s head.
