In the 18th Century, the powerful Temple-Grenville family chose to create an idyllic landscape filled with temples. Amidst these enchanting gardens they built the most lavish temple of all Stowe House. This is a fabulous opportunity to discover the complete Stowe experience free of charge including entry to the House, Grounds and Gothic Temple.
Join us at Stowe House, as we open our doors for the annual Heritage Open Day. Throughout the day we will be running taster tours where you will discover more about the fascinating history and hidden stories behind one of Britain’s finest 18th Century houses.
With free entry across the Stowe site, it’s an exciting opportunity to explore the 250 acres of monumental landscape gardens and experience the breadth of some of Stowe’s most iconic temples.
No pre-booking required. Tours of the house will last 20 -30 minutes.
