The Durham family lived in Arnold Cottage, to the right of the Swan Inn .

Mr. DURHAM, SURVEYOR, &c. late of DUNSTABLE, begs to acquaint his Friends and the Public that he has REMOVED to OLD STRATFORD near Stony Stratford, to which Place all Letters and Parcels for him may be addressed.

The Misses Durham beg to inform their Friends that they intend to Continue their Seminary for Young Ladies at Old Stratford on the same Terms as they have heretofore done at Dunstable. (Also in Newspaper on March 29th)

LADIES’ SEMINARY,
Old Stratford, near Stony Stratford.

THE MISSES DURHAM beg to inform their Friends and the Public that their SEMINARY will RE-OPEN on WEDNESDAY the 23rd JULY instant, and assure those Parents and Guardians who may honour them with their Confidence, that unremitting  Attention will be paid to the Morals and Improvement of the Children who may be placed under their Care.

TERMS.

Board, useful and ornamental Needle-work, Reading, Geography, with the Use of Globes, &c. Twenty Guineas per Annum.


Music, Dancing, Drawing, &c. One Guinea per Quarter each.
Writing & Arithmetic, Two Guineas per Annum.
Washing, Half-a-Guinea per Quarter.
Entrance, One Guinea.

Each Young Lady to bring a Silver Spoon and six Towels.
A Quarter’s Notice or Equivalent will be required previous to the Removal of any Young Lady.
N. B. Only ten Young Ladies admitted.

Weekly and Daily Boarders admitted.
Each Young Lady to bring a Silver Spoon and six
Towels, and owing to the limited Number of Pupils
(Ten), a Quarter’s Notice or Equivalent will be required

Young Ladies are boarded and educated on the most moderate terms.

Begs to inform his friends and the public, that, in conjunction with his SON, who is now resident at STONY STRATFORD, the Business of LAND & TIMBER SURVEYING, AGENCY, &c. will be continued as heretofore; and that the Business of AUCTIONEER, &c. WILL IN FUTURE BE CARRIED ON BY HIS SON, on moderate terms.

The Northampton Mercury May 14th 1836

MARRIED: On Thursday the 12th instant, at Cosgrove, by the Rev. John Graham, Mr. D. Nixon, Surgeon, of Stony Stratford, to Mary Ann, eldest daughter of Mr. Durham, of Old Stratford.


The Northampton Mercury June 11th 1836

On Wednesday afternoon, as J. Durham, Esq. of Old Stratford was returning from Northampton with his youngest daughter, when about a mile from home the shafts of the gig broke, and threw them both out, by which unfortunate accident Miss D. received a concussion of the brain, which terminated in her death about ten o'clock the same evening.
