Richard Wadsworth 1781

In the Name of God Amen I Richard Wadsworth of Old Stratford in the County of Northampton Clerk being in Health and of good Memory praised be God do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following First I resign my Soul to God and my Body I commit to the Earth to be buried at the Discretion of my Executrixes here in after mentioned and as to my worldly Estate I dispose thereof as followeth First I Give and devise unto my Sister Martha Wadsworth all that Messuage Dwelling House or Tenement situate Heptonstall in the Parish of Halifax in the county of York called by the Name of the Cage now in the Tenure or Occupation of Thomas Sunderland or his Assigns all the Buildings Gardens Lands Closes Liberties Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Messuage Dwelling House or Tenement belonging or in any wise appertaining (only paying out of it yearly and every year to my Brother John Wadsworth the Sum of six Pounds during the Time of his natural Life) to hold all the above Premises and every Part thereof to her my said Sister Martha Wadsworth and her Heirs and Assigns for ever Also I give and devise unto my Sister Mary Wadsworth all that Messuage Dwelling House or Tenement situated Old Stratford in the Parish of Cosgrove if in the County of Northampton now in the Tenure or Occupation of Francis Kightly or his Assigns all the Buildings Gardens Orchards and Lands Closes Liberties Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Messuage Dwelling House or Tenement belonging or in any wise appertaining (only paying out of it yearly and every year to my Brother John Wadsworth the Sum of six Pounds during the Term of his natural Life) to hold all the above Premises and every Part thereof to my Sister Mary Wadsworth and to her Heirs and Assigns for ever And as to all the rest residue and clear remainder of my Personal Estate after my just debts are Paid and Funeral Expences discharged I Give unto my Sister Martha Wadsworth and my Sister Mary Wadsworth equally betwixt them share and share alike and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Sisters Marth Wadsworth and Mary Wadsworth joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament hereby making void all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty ninth day of May one thousand seven Hundred and seventy nine Richard Wadsworth Signed sealed published and declared by the said Richard Wadsworth to be his last Will and Testament in the Presence sight of us who in his sight and Presence and at his request have subscribed our Names as Witnesses Francis Kightly Nathaniel Earl Sarah Kightly
