The South Porch
The photographs to the right show the exterior view of the South Porch and details of two corbels on the exterior south wall of church.The south porch has two small two-light windows, which have been filled with modern stained glass The coloured glass has been resin bonded onto panes cut to fit the light. One window depicts St Lawrence martyred in Rome in 258 AD and his grid iron. [see e.g. Penguin Dictionary of Saints (1965), 214]
The other photograph below is of the finely moulded 13th century interior south doorway.
