There is a record of the Swan Inn being licensed in 1827, but it was probably in use as a public house much earlier, probably under another name. The White Horse, the Dog and Hare and the Plough are all mentioned in earlier licensing records. It has been much extended in recent times.

with listing particulars as follows.
SP 83 NE MILTON KEYNES MILTON KEYNES VILLAGE 4/69 The Swan Inn Public House. C17 altered. Timber framed with colourwashed brick
infill and ground floor. Thatched roof, hipped and continued down
over 1-storey addition to LH, central brick chimney, 2 storeys, S.
front has 2 3-light upper leaded casements cut up into thatch, 3
3-light leaded casements to ground floor, door to RH. 2-storey
colourwashed brick extension to RH. Tiled roof, 1 bay of 3-light
leaded casements. 1-storey addition to RH.
