To limit the above list to likely references to one person, click on the name of the person.  This second search will select records which have a year of birth and an event date (year of interest) which are plausible in relation to the dates of the record clicked.  This second search will generally provide better results if the record clicked shows a year of birth.  This is because with the year of birth available, the search can eliminate any records with an event date (year of Interest) before the year of birth and can eliminate any records that imply a life of over 100 years (80 years before 1750).  There are many such checks built into this second search.

This second search will also look for alternative spellings of both the first and family names.  For instance, a search for Celina Abbot will also locate references to Selina Abbott.  Also, if a marriage record for a women is selected, the search will locate relevant records using both the maiden name and married name of the selected bride.
