In the Name of God Amen I William Scrivener of Yardly Goubeon in the parish of Potterpury in the County of Northampton being weake of Body, but of good and perfect memory, praised be God for it Taking into Consideration the frailty and uncertainty of this mortoll life willing to dispose of my estate while I am of sound and perfect minde doe this Eight day of March, make and declare this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following; That is to say first and before all things, I commend and Comit my Soule into the hands of Almighty God, who gave it me, beseeching him of his infinett mercy to forgive me all my sines and to purge me from all unrightousness, in and by the merits and bloudshed of my blessed Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, and of his Infinett goodness to receive my soule, and body to Eternall Life, my Body I Commend to decent burial, at the discretion of my Executrix, hereafter named; And touching my worldly Estate, which God of his goodness hath given me, I give and dispose of the same as followeth. Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Theophilos Stillton the sum of one shilling, to be paid him by my Executrix within one whole year after my Decease I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Anne Scrivener the sume of fforty Pounds sterlin to be paid her at the Age of one and twenty years, I give and bequeath unto my sone Richard Scrivener My house and all the Appurtenances belonging to it Situate in Yardly Gobeon, to him and his Heirs ffor ever to have it after his mothers decease; Also I give and bequeath unto my sone Richard Scrivener, All that two Achors and a halfe of free Land I Purchased of Richard scrivener of Potters Pury, two Achors situated on a furlong Called Lamcott in Yardly field, and one halfe Archor on slade furlong in the said field, I give more unto my sonn Richard Scrivener Three Roods of Arable Land I Purchased of Cutbertt Tossell; I give more unto my sonne Richard Scrivener one Achor of Meadow scituate Lying and being in Dole Medow I purchased of ffrancis Tossell of Potterpury all which Porsells of Land and Medow I give unto my said sone Richard Scrivener and to his Heirs for ever my will is that he shall have it when he is one and twenty years old. I give and bequeath unto my Eldest sonne William Scrivener ffive shillings to be Paide by my Executrix when he is one and Tenty years old All the rest and residue of my Estate both goods and Chattels my debts Legacies and ffunerall Charges being sattiffied, I give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Anne Scrivener whom I make And ordain my full and sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament, not doubting of her Care and faithful Performance thereof, ffurther I make my Brother Thomas Smith of Grafton Regis and my Nephew Robert Smith als Caves of Yardly gobeon overseers of this my Last will and Testament desiring them to be Assitant to my said Executrix, in the performance of this my Last will: in Wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale, the day and Year as above written.
