Elizabeth Wills 1758   This is the Last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Wills of Yardley Gobyon In the County of Northampton Widow, I Resign my Soul To Almighty God In Humble and Pious Hopes of Forgiveness of all My Transgressions Through the Mediation of My Blessed Redeemer; and I desire to be buryed at Weedon by My Dear Husband I desire all Legall debts I shall owe at My Decease With my Funerall Expences be paid and Satisfyed I Will and Bequeath that My Executor hereafter named Thomas Horton his Executors and Administrators retain In his and their Hands One Hundred Pounds In Trust that he and they pay the Interest Thereof at four percent to My Cousin Anne Dickens Wife of John Dickens of Wicken In Northamptonshire during her Naturall life to her own Sole and Separate Use and as If she was Sole and Unmarried and that her receipt shall Notwithstanding her Coverture be sufficient Discharge nor shall the same be liable to the debts Demands and or Controul of her present or any Future Husband and at her decease I give and Bequeath the said Principal Summe of One Hundred Pounds to be Equally divided amongst her Children as shall be living at her death share and share alike and If only one Child be living The Whole to Such Child and If They all dye In her lifetime then I give the said Summe of One hundred Pounds amongst the Representatives of the Children of The Said Anne Dickens to be equally divided I Give to My Cousin John Horton son of My Cousin Thomas Horton Ten Guineas to be paid him When he Arrives at the Age of Twenty one years I Give to John Gray son of John Gray of Hanslope Ten Pounds to be paid as follows Five Pounds In one year after My Decease and The other Five Pounds In Two years after My Decease I give the Summe of Ten Pounds to be Equally divided between Susannah Carter and her Children liveing at My Decease to be paid as follows Five Pounds One year after My Decease and the other Five pounds In Two years after My Decease, I give Ten Pounds to be Equally divided between Elizabeth Hitchcock and her Children liveing at My Death to be paid as Follows Five Pounds In one year after My Death and The other Five pounds In Two years after My Death I give Ten Pounds to be Equally divided between John Shaw his Brother and Sister and the survivors to be paid as follows Five Pounds In one year after My Death and Five pounds In Two years after My Decease and My Will is that My Executor pay No Interest for these Legacys of Ten Pounds whilst the same or any part Is to be In his hands as aforesaid I Give to Edward Bloxham of Stony Stratford one Guinea for a Ring; I Give My Black Gown to Mary Philpot, My shifts and Wearing Linnen to Elizabeth Brown and Mary Philpot, My Brown Gown, Black Quilt and yellow stays to Mary Mayhew of Weedon My Callemanca Gown to Martha Linnell; My Bed and Bedding belonging to It to William Hemp son of Anne Dickens, The Gold I Wear on My Breast the Linnen I am Laid out In My Cheat of Drawers and other Household goods and wearing apperall If any I give to Anne Dickens I desire the Same Quantity of Bread may be distributed amongst the Poor at Yardley as was given at My Sisters Funerall; all the rest residue and Remainder of My Personall Estate of What Nature Soever not before discharged of I give and Bequeath to My Cousin Thomas Horton of Yardley Gobyon with whom I now live whom I Constitute Sole Executor of This My Will hereby revoking All Former Wills by me heretofore made and do ratify this present Writing Contained In Two Sheets of Paper as and for My Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof the said Elizabeth Wills have to the first sheet set My Hand and To This last My Hand and Seal this Fourth Day of May In The year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Seven   Elizabeth Wills   Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Testator Elizabeth Wills her last Will In the presence of us Who have subscribed our Names as Witnesses at her request In her presence and of each other   Christopher Harris William Harris   On the 3rd of June 1758   Thomas Horton the sole Executor named in the within Written Will was then sworn at the Petition of Smith his Proctor well and faithfully to fulfil the same etc.   Before me E.
