Abigail Woodward 1764
In the Name of God Amen I Abigail Woodward of Yardley Gubben in the Parish of Potters Pury in the County of Northampton Widow, being sick and weak in Body but of Sound Mind and Memory Blessed be God for the same do Make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following Imprimis I commit my precious and immortal Soul into the Hands of my Dear Redeemer hoping and trusting in his precious Blood and Merits alone for Pardon and Salvation My Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executor herein after named.
And with Regard to my Temporal Estate with which a kind Providen in hath been pleased to bless me, I dispose of as followeth
I give to my Sons William, John, George and Daniel and to my Daughters Mary, Jelly and Sarah Rockingham and also to my Daughter in Law Susannah the Widow of my late son Richard Woodward the Sum of One Guinea each
Item I give to my Son Robert Woodward the House wherein I now dwell with all its Appurtenances to him and his Heirs forever All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate wheresoever and whatsoever I give unto my Son Robert Woodward aforesaid whom I do hereby appoint sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and cancelling all other Will heretofore by me made. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand and Seal This Seventeenth Day of March in the Fourth Year of the Reign of his most sacred Majesty George the third of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc. and in the Year of Christ One Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Four

Signed Seal and Published to be the last Will and Testament of the said Abigail Woodward in the Presence of us who subscribed our Names in her Presence at her Request in the Presence of Each Other

On the fourth Day of May 1764 Robert Woodward the sole Executor named in the within written Will was then sworn faithfully to fulfil the same, and that the Deceased at the time of her Death was not possessed of a personal Estate of the Amount of £20
