In the Name of God Amen this is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Smith of Yardley Gobion in the Parish of Potters Pury in the County of Northampton Yeoman Whereas Edward Brown of Yardley Gobion aforesaid yeoman is In debted unto me in the sume of two hundred and fiftee[n] pounds and ten shillings upon a Mortgage of several parts and parcels of Arable land ley meadow and pasture and Grass Ground lying and being dispersed in the open Common fields of Potters Pury and Yardley Gobion aforesaid bearing Date on or about Eight and Twenteth day of April which was in the yeare of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Twenty seven Imprimis I give and bequeath the said sume of Two hundred and fifteen ten shillings so due upon the said Mortgage as aforesaid and all Interest that shall hereafter grow due for the same and also all my Estate rights title and Interests of in and like said plainfes thereby granted unto my son Thomas Smith To have and to hold the same unto my said son Thomas Smith his Heirs Administrators and Assigns for and during all the residue and Terme of Ninty Nine Yeares thereby granted which one yett to come and One expired Item I give and Devise all those my two Doles of Meadow being halfe my Acre of Meadow lying and being in Dole Mead in the parish of Potters Pury aforesaid as they lye in Doles in manner following (that is to say) In the Long One Dole called One Mans Dole with the Ax and the other Dole in Richard Woodwards and usually marked with a T: unto my son Thomas Smith and his heirs Item I give and Devise all the my Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances situate standing and being in Yardley Gobion aforesaid now in the occupation of John Bland And also all those several pieces and parcels of Arable Land ley Meadow and pasture Ground lying and being dispersed in the open and common fields of Potters Pury, Yardley Gobion aforesaid and Cosgrave in the said County of Northampton which I purchased with the said Messuage or Tenement to me and any heirs of and from John Britten unto my son John Smith and his heirs Item I also give and Devise all those two other Doles of Meadow being the other halfe of my One of Meadow in Dole Mead aforesaid as they illeg lye in Doles in manner following (that is to say) In the Deteb one Dole in Ricd. Harris’s acre commonly marked with the Mill Name and the other Dole on the Long every other Yeare in Thomas Brownes And usually marked with the Carpenters Square and every other Yeare in horse poole and usually marked with the Carpenters square as aforesaid Item I give unto my son Thomas Smith ten sheep my Colt at Stephen Webbs and three pewter Dishes Item I give and bequeath unto my son John Smith All and singular other my household Goods beds beding Brass pewter and implements of household goods and also all my sheep stock of Cattle Corne Ground hay ploughs Carts Waggons and all other my implements of husbandry whatsoever Item I give unto my Daughter Anne Webb wife of William Webb of Alderton the sume of five pounds to be paid her by my Executors hereafter named in manner following (that is to say) five shillings every three Months until the said summe of five pounds be fully paid and satisfied if she shall so long live And my Will and meaning is and I do hereby direct that the same shall be from time to time paid to my said Daughter only separate from the controul of her husband and that her receipt only shall be a discharge for the same Item all the rest and residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells and personall Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and not herein before otherwise disposed of (any Debts legarcys and funeral charges being first thereout paid and Discharged) I give and bequeath unto my two sons Thomas Smith and John Smith to be equally Divided between them share and share alike And I doe hereby make and ordaine my said sons Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this Twenty fourth day of september in the Yeare of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty six
