In the name of god amen In the yere of our lord god 1552 the xvij day of December In the sexte yere of the reigne of Edward the sexte by the grace of god kyng of England ffrance and Ireland defender of the faith Sr in yerth under christe of the church of England and also of Ireland the surpreme head Wytnesse that I John browne of yerley gubbyn within the parysch of est pery other wyse called potterpery being seke in body and whole of mynd and of gode remembrance make my Wyll and testament after this manner and forme here folowyng ffirst I geve and bequeth my sowll unto almighty god the father of heven and unto my lord Jesus christ hs sonne and unto all the wolly company of heaven and my body to be buryed within the churchyard of estpery Item I geve and bequeth unto William browne my sone a redd stere of iiij yere of age and I geve hym iij shepe ij of oes [ewes] and a hoggerell and I geve hym halfe a quarter of barley and he to have my best cothe save one And I geve unto Wylliam and John hys brothers sex strakys of an iron cart and eche of them a bedsted and a stoke of bene And I geve unto john browne my son a redd stere and iij shepe ij oes [ewes] and a hoggerall and halfe a quarter of barley and a brasse pott and a posnet and he to have iij yards of Kosseth to make hym a cote and also I geve unto Edward browne my sone a blacke cow and ij shepe and a ketell and halfe a quarter of barley and he to have a stoke of bene Item I geve and bequeth to Jone browne my daughter a pott and a pan and a redd heifer and a land of whett in ban crafte and my iij Roodes of peyson shotyng upon my yard when they be sowne and my Roods of barley in mede furlong when it ys sown and a borde to make her a table and iiij bordes to do with ther what she wyll and I wyll that she shall have a coverlet and sex shepe and iiij yards of clothe to make her a gowne of the best pece and a tabull clothe and ij payre of shetts and halfe a candelstyke and iij platters and a lytell hawmbre Itm I geve unto luce my daughter a pyde red heyffer and iiij sheppe and a payre of shetts a pan a posnet and a quarter of barley and I geve her the next lest sheth and I geve her iij yirdes of whit the next best a candlestyke iij platters a tabull and iij bords It. I geve to susan hechekoke a browne bullock and also I geve unto katheryn my daughter ij bords and a stoke of bene And also I geve unto chistofer wyndmylle my son in lawe a stoke of bene and unto Jone Wyndmyll hys daughter a caster And I geve unto vij of my godchildren iiijd a pece And to the bells xijd Item to the pore mans box iiijd.
