In the name of God Amen the Tenth day of Maie in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand Syxe hundred and Thirtie I John Browne the younger of Yardley Gobion in the parishe of Potterspurie in the Countie of Northampton husbandman, beinge sicke and weake in bodie, but of whole mynde and in good and perfect remembrance (praise be to God) doe ordayne and make this my Testament Conteyninge therein my last will in manner and forme hereafter followinge. ffirst I bequeath and Commend my soule into the handes of the holye blessed and unseparable Trinitie, God my creator redeemer and sanctifier, steadfastlye and verelie beleevinge that through the merrites, death and bitter passion of my God and saviour Jesus Christ I shall have free remission of all my sinnes And my bodie to be buried in the Churchyard of the Potterspurie aforesayd neere to the place where the bodies of my ancestors are layd Item I geve and bequeath unto everie one of my seaven Children Twentie shillinges a peece at such tyme as each of them shall be of the age off Eighteene yeares All the rest of my goods and Cattells and Chattells whatsoever moveable and unmoveable after my debtes payd and Legacies performed I geve and bequeath unto Anne my wife whom I ordayne and make the sole executor of this my Last will and Testament. And I doe desire my loveinge friends brother Thomas Browne, and my loveinge Kinsman William Browne to be the supervisors of this my Testament And in witness that this my last will and Testament I have hereunto set my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
