In the name of God Amen the 21 day of September in the year of our Lord 1723 Acording to the computation of the church of Great Britain I John Read of Morend belonging to Yardley Gobion in the parish of Poterspory of the county of Northampton late keeper at pury lodge being in perfect memory and rememberance praised be God for it do make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manor and form following First I bequeith my soul into the hands of allmity God my maker hoping that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only saviour and Redeemer to offer pardon and forgiveness of all my sins my body be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor hereafter nominated.
