In the Name of God Amen I Martha Judkins Wife of William Judkins of Yardley Gobion in the Parish of Potterspury in the County of Northampton Farmer being well in Body and of Sound and perfect Mind and Memory Thanks be given to Almighty God for the same Do make and Ordain this My last Will and Testament in Writing in manner and Form following First I Bequeath My Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the Meritorious Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to Receive free Pardon of all my Sins And as for my Body I commit the same to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of My Executor hereafter Named but I desire to be Buried in the Grave or as near as conveniently may be to the Grave of My late Dear Husband John Toomes And as for My Worldly Estate I Dispose thereof as followeth First I give and Devise unto My Loving Brother William Brown of Yardley Gobion aforesaid all that My Cottage Messuage or Tenement Scituate standing and being in Stony Stratford in the County of Bucks now or late in the tenure or Occupation of George Wright together with all and singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging to him My said Loving Brother William Brown and his Heirs for ever Also I give and devise unto My Loving Husband William Judkin all that My Cottage Messuage or Tenement Scituate Standing and being in Yardley Gobion aforesaid in which I now Dwell together with all My Freehold Lands Tenements and Hereditament with the Appurtenances Standing Lying and being in Potterspury aforesaid and Yardley Gobion aforesaid to hold the same for and during the term of his Natural Life And from and after his Decease I give and Devise the same to My said Loving Brother William Brown to him and his Heirs for ever Also I give and bequeath unto My Loving Kinswoman Mary Brown Daughter of my Nephew William Brown My Habit and my blue Silk Gown and Petticoat Also I give and bequeath unto My Loving Kinswoman Mary Rand Daughter of My Cousin Gabriel Rand My Sattin Gown and my Grey Silk Gown and Petticoat Also I give and bequeath unto my said Kinswomen Mary Brown and Mary Rand My two best Gold Rings My four best Suits of Head Clothes with the Ruffles and Handkerchiefs belonging to them and also a black Quilt and a Yellow Silk Quilt to be equally Divided between them Share and Share alike Also I give the Sum of twenty shillings to be laid out and Expended in Bread at My Funeral for the Use and benefit of the Poor of Yardley Gobion aforesaid Lastly I do make and Ordain My said Husband William Judkins full Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills by Me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set My Hand and Seal this Twentieth day of November in the Year of Our Lord 1753 And in the 27th Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord King George the Second
