In the Name of God, Amen, I Richard Bland of Yardley Gobion in the Parish of Potter’s Pury, in the County of Northampton Carpenter, being weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind and Memory, praised be God for the same, Do make and declare this my last will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say, I give and devise all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances, situate, lying and being in Yardley Gobion aforesaid, in which I now dwell, unto my Wife Ann Bland for and during the term of her natural Life, and from and immediately after her decease, I give and devise the said Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances unto my Son Thomas Bland his Heirs and assigns forever. Also, I give and devise my Messuage or Tenement, with the Appurtenances, situate, lying and being in Moor-end in the Parish of Potter’s-Pury aforesaid, and which my Brother Thomas purchased of Susanna Bignal, unto my son John Bland of Yardley Gobion aforesaid, and my Friend John Smith of Pury-Lodge in the Parish of Potter’s-Pury aforesaid Upon Trust, to sell and dispose thereof by public or private Sale, in such manner as they shall think fit, and as soon as conveniently may be after my decease, and to pay and apply the Money arising there from in such manner as is herein after directed. Also I give and bequeath to my Son John Bland all my working Tools And I do will, order, and direct, that all my just Debts, Funeral expences, and the charges of proving this my Will, be, by my Executors herein after named, paid and discharged out of my personal Estate. And I do hereby give to my Wife Ann Bland, all my Household Goods and Furniture, the Money arising from the Sale of my Estate in Moorend herein before mentioned, as also any part or share in the Effects of my late Brother Thomas Bland deceased, together with all my Effects of what nature or kind soever, not herein before given or bequeathed To Hold, use, occupy and possess the same during the term of her natural Life; and from and immediately after her Death, I give and bequeath the said Household Goods and Furniture and the remainder of the Money and Effects unto my Son Thomas and my Daughters Elizabeth and Sarah equally to be divided among them, in case they are all living at the time of my said Wife’s Death; but if any or either of them shall happen to die before my said wife, then, I give and bequeath the share or shares of him, her, or them so dying unto the Survivors or Survivor of them. And Lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my Son John Bland of Yardley Gobion aforesaid and Friend Mr. John Smith of Pury-Lodge aforesaid Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal, this eighteenth day of January in the Year of Our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and ninety one
