In the name of god Amen in the yere of our lord god an dom 1536 and also the xxxvjth yere of the Reign of ower soverayn lorde king henry eight king of Ingland and of ffrance lorde of yereland defender of the ffaith and supreme hade next onto god I William Adams of yardeley gobbyn in the countye of Northampton the xxijth daye of Aprill hole of mynde and seke in body in the manner and forme I make my last will ffirst I bequeth my Soule to all myte god to our lady sainte mary and to the holle company of heaven my bodye to buryed with in the churche yarde of Sainte Nicholas in Est purry also I bequeth to our lady of Lincoln our mother churche of Lincoln ijd also I guyf to x churcheis viz to everton [Everdon] church to Eston churche to ffarthingston churche to braunston church to covesgrove church passenham churche to both churcheis of Wykyn to Est purry church to every one of theis churcheis a Crown of vs to be praid for that my soule may ffare the better ffor the praiers also to pallespury Item to every aulter in the church in Est purrye to the Reparcon of the same aulter iiijd Item to the Repacons of the bells a xijd The Residu of all other my goods booth moveable I geyf them to my waff agnes to bestow them to the hands of god and welfare of my soule and all our ffrends and all ch ren- soules [Christian souls?] for my executors I Chose my Wife agneis and John bowghton in whom is my especyall trust to see my will performed In wittnes of this my last will William beiley vicar Thomas abbay and Richarde Goodman with other men
