In dei nomie Amen This instant Mondaie the xxiijed September 1605 I Nicholas Church of Yardlie Gobion in the Countie of Northampton husbandman being sick in bodie but yet of good and perfect memorie thanks to god Doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following ffirst I give and yeald upp my soule unto the handes of almightie god my Creator and Redeemer and sanctifier And my bodie I will to be buried in the churchyard of Potterspurie And touching my Worldie goods which the Lord for a tyme hath lent me I give and bequeath as followeth Imprimis I give to the mother Church of Peterborough iiijd And to the parish Church of Potterspurie I give and bequeath iijs iiijd Item I give to the poore of Potterspurie such as have most neede ijs vjd and in like manner doe I give to the poore of Yardley Gobion ijs vjd Itm I give and bequeath to Richard Church my sonne xli to be paide to him at one and twentie yeares of his age Itm I give to my sonne Thomas Church xli to be paide to him at his age of one and twentie yeares Itm I give to my sonne John Church xli to be paide at one and twentie yeares of his age I give and bequeath to Alice Church my daughter xxli to be paide to her at her age of one and twentie yeares or at her daie of marriage whether shall first happen Itm I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Church xxli to be paide to her at her age of one and twentie yeares or at her Daie of marriage whether shall first happen Itm I give and bequeath moreover to my said daughter Alice my best fetherbed save two blankettes a coverlett boulster and two pillowes two paire of sheetes and a table cloth And my Will is that if one of my said five children Doe depart this life before they recieve their legacie that then that porcean of the deceased shall remaine amongst the rest that shalbe survivors And I give to everie of my godchildren iiijd All the residue of my goodes and Chattls moveable and unmoveable my debts and legacies being paied And my funerals Discharged I give and bequeath to Alice Church my wife and to Nicholas Church my sonne whom I make ioynt executors of this my last Will and testament Provided that if Alice my wife Die presentlie permit and suffor my said sonne Nicholas to emoye the moytie and one halfe of all Comodities and proffitts of this farme wherein I nowe dwell until all my severall legacies be by them indifferently Discharged as alsoe if she said Alice my wife doe assigne the Copie of this my farme to my said sonne Nicholas In that case my will and meaning is that my said sonne Nicholas shall paie and Discharge the moytie and one halfe of all my debts and legacies, etherwyse my Will and meaning is that if my Wyfe be not permitt my said sonne Nicholas presenctlie to emoye Perceivie and take the moytie and one halfe of all the Comodities and profits of this farme with her until my said legarcies be paied, as also if she doe not assigne the Copy of this farme to my said sonne Nicholas Then my will is that my sonne Nicholas shall have And I doe hereby give unto him threescore poundes as a speciall legacie And my will is in this case to charge Alice my said wife with the payment of all my debts and legacies and with the bringing upp of all my children, And my Will is in this case to discharge my said sonne Nicholas from the payment of all manner my debts and legacies as clearly as if hee Were not my Executor together with his mother And I doe make ordaine and constitue my brother William Boughton and my Cosen Thomas Church the overseers of this my last will and testament And I doe give to either of them iijs iiijd for their paines in seeing this will to be performed These being witnesses John Whorlet Richard Scott Humfrey Wheatlie Clarke Signed Nicholas Church
