In dei nomne Amen the second daie of July in Ano dm 1598 I William Whorlett of Yardley gubbyon in the Countie of Northampton labourer beinge sicke in body but yet of good and perfect memory (Thanks be to god do make this my last Will and Testament in manner or forme followinge ffirst I give and yeld up my Soule into the hands of allmightie god my Creator trustinge by the blood of Christ Jesus and the merits of his death and passion to have it placed amongst the blessed Saints in the kingdome of heven And my body I Commend to earth whence it was taken desyringe to have it buryed in the Churchyard of Potterspury And for my Worldly goods which the lord for a time hath lent me I give and bequeath as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath to my daughter Anne Whorlett xl Itm I give and bequeath to my daughter Ellen xxs All the Rest of my goods and Chattells whatsoever movable and unmoveable my debts and legacies beinge paid and my funerals discharged I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Whorlett my Wife and to John Whorlett my sonne whom I doe make the Executors of this my last Will and Testament These beinge witnesses Nicholas Church William Boughton and Humfrye Wheatley Clarke
