In the Name of god Amen This twenty fifth day of October Anno 1695 In the seventh yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord William by the Grace of God of England Scottland ffrance and Ireland Lord of the ffaith etc. I William Smith of Yardly Gubion in the County of Northampton Mason being Aged and full of days the ffrequent Sn…none missing h doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (That is to say) ffirst I Commend my soul to god that gave it through the merritts death and passion of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ remission and forgivenesse of all my sins and my body to the Earth to be decently [buried] at the discression of my Executrix hereafter Named Imprimis ffirst I will that my debts and ffunerall Charges be paid and discharged And as missing all such worldly Goods as God in his Infinitt Mercy hath been please to bestow upon me I Give and devise as ffolloweth All my Messuage or Tenement being in Yardly aforesaid and all my four Acres three Roods of Arible land lying and being in the severall Commonible ffeild of Yardly aforesaid and Potterpury with all m[y] ….le Goods I Give and devise unto my loving wife Mary for and during her Naturall Life And from and after her decease I Give and devise my Messuage and Arrible la[nd as foll]oweth I Give and devise my said Messuage unto my eldest daughter Elizabeth the wife of Christopher Tomes of Potterspury Butcher to her and h[eirs] forever Item I Give and devise and my mind and will is that Elizabeth my Eldest daughter pay or Cause to be paid unto Mary Smith my youngest daughter missing …om my said Messuage The full and Just summe of Twenty pound of Good and lawfull money of England six monethes after myne and my loving [wife] Mary decease my further mind and will is that If my Elder daughter Elizabeth Tomes above Mentioned doe refuse to pay or Cause to be paid Twenty pounds to my youngest daughter Mary And at the day and time above limited and appoynted for payment thereof upon such default and none payment [of the ] said Twenty pounds I Give and devise my said Messuage or Tenement unto my younger daughter Mary and her heires forever and doe hereby will and require my youngest [daughter Mary] Caused to be paid unto my Eldest daughter the sume of Twenty pounds or the like lawfull money of England within six mounths after missing as above directed Item I Give and devise my four Acres three Roods of Arrible Lands with all rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto [Mary my] youngest daughter her heires forever And I doe hereby Nominate and appoynt my youngest daughter Mary Executrix of this my last will [and testament] disannulling and making void all former will and Codduall [Codicil] of wills by me heretofore made And doe hereby nominate and appoynt this my [last will and] Testament In Wittnesse whereof I doe hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
