Know all Men by these Present that We Susannah Bignole of Yardley Gobyon in the County of Northampton Widow and Joseph Roberts of the Parish of Cosgrave in the said County Yeoman are held and firmly bound unto the Right Reverend ffather in God John by Divine Permission Lord Bishop of Peterborough in the sum of fforty Pounds of good and lawfull Money of Great Britain, to be paid unto the said Lord Bishop or to his certain Attorney his Executors Administrators or Assigns To which Payment well and truly to be made We oblige ourselves and each of us herself and himself for the whole our and each of our Heirs Executors, and Administrators firmly by there Presents Seals with our Seals dated the ninth day of June in the Twenty Sixth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith and so forth, And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty three.

The Condition of this Obligation is such That the above bounded Susannah Bignole ye Daughter Administratrix of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Edward Scott late of Yardley Gobyon Farmer Intestate deceased … at or before the last day of June 1754

The within named Susannah Bignoll was then at the … of Sam Smith her Proctor Sworne faithfully to Administer the Goods etc. of her late ffather Intestate Deceased according Law etc. And that the Deceased at the time of his death was not Possessed of a Personal Estate to the amount of 20 pounds
