This year only 7 Pack had entered the annual District Quiz and we found ourselves facing 3rd Newport Pagnell in the First Round at Hanslope H.Q.

After refreshments Mr. Cox welcomed the 2 teams and tried to put them at their easy, before the battle commenced. Our team won the first 3 Rounds on Scouting, Safety/First Aid and Wild Life to put themselves into an 18 to 11 points lead. Newport then won the next 2 rounds on Sport and General Knowledge so that they managed to reduce the points margin to 25 to 23. Tension was mounting but our lads made sure of victory by winning the 6th and last Round on Entertainment to win the Quiz by 31 points to 24.

Both teams had performed very well in what is always a nerve racking experience for the Cub Scouts but our team had done their best to go forward into the Semi Finals.
