Visit to Willen Lake

Met at 9.0a.m. Headquarters

After arriving at Willen Lake we walked around the Lake. The morning was cold with frost on the ground and some ice on the Lake. Around the Lake we saw the Flood Control system, Willen Hospice and the Peace Pagoda. We returned to the car park for orange and biscuits although we all thought that hot soup may have been more appropriate on such a cold day.

Refreshed we all assembled in a playing area and split the Pack into two teams. We first played a new game called Scatter Ball which quickly warmed us all up although cold hands made fielding difficult. Football was next on the agenda which proved a good even game, although one of the party changed sides to score a crucial goal. The goalkeeper was not pleased about his young brother poaching the goal and thought such actions may make his entry into the Pack in 2 years time difficult.

After an enjoyable morning in an interesting part of Milton Keynes we returned to the Headquarters at 12.40 p.m.
