This is the last Will and Testament of Mary Arundell now residing at Castle Thrupp in the County of Bucks Spinster I resign my Soul to Almighty God in humble hopes of forgiveness of all my transgressions through the mediation of my blessed redeemer At what place I die I desire to be brought from thence in a Hearse with a mouring Coach to attend and be buried at Stoke Bruerne in the County of Northampton in the family Vault by my dear Sister and be carried to the Vault by the Tenants as my Ancestors have been I Give and Devise all and every my Manors Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments situate in or near the town of Northampton in the County of Northampton or elsewhere in the County of Northampton which I am anyways seized off interested in or intitled unto and which I have any power either by Law or Equity to give and dispose off. To John Wilmer of Stony Stratford in the County of Bucks Surgeon and Edward Bloxham of the same place Gentleman their heirs and Assigns for ever In Trust that they the said John Wilmer and Edward Bloxham or the or the Survivor or the heirs of such Survivor do so soon as conveniently may be after my decease sell the same and with the Money arising from the Sale thereof I give and dispose thereof as follows. I will that all my legal Debts I shall owe at my decease with my funeral Expences and the expences attending the execution of this Trust be paid I give to Richard Walker and Hannah Walker Children of my cousin Mary Walker the Wife of Richard Walker of Bristol One hundred pounds each to be paid in two years after my death and I direct that the same legacies be paid to the said Richard Walker the father or Hannah Walker the mother for the use of their Children by my Trustees and that the receipt or receipts of the of the said Father or Mother be a sufficient discharge to my said Trustees for the same it being my intent they shall not be answerable for the said Legacies to the Children I give to the said Mrs Walker a ring in which is set my mothers hair I Give to the Reverend Robert of Grafton One Hundred pounds I give to his Sister Margaret Harding One hundred Pounds I Give to his Sister Mary Backhouse One Hundred pounds to her own sole and separate use as if she was sole and unmarried and that the same be not liable to the Debts Demand or Controul of her Husband or to which he shall have any claim but that her receipt notwithstanding her Coverture to be a sufficient discharge to my Trustees for the same I also give to the said Robert Harding Margaret Harding and Mary Backhouse all the Household goods I bought at Potterspury belonging to their late Father to be equally divided amongst them I give to the said Robert Harding his fathers picture and my sister Hardings picture I give to my servant Elizabeth Rose Ten pounds above her wages and to Mary Bowers Ten Pounds above what shall by due to her for her attendance and to Elizabeth Holman of Yardley Gobyon five pounds I give to the said John Wilmer and Edward Bloxham Twenty pounds each all the remainder of the Money arising from the sale of my said Estate I give to my Sister Anna Maria Griffiths to her own sole and separate use as if she was sole and unmarried and that the same shall not be liable to the debts demand or controul of her husband but that her receipts notwithstanding her coverture shall be a sufficient discharge to my Trustees for the same And my Will is that the said John Wilmer and Edward Bloxham retain all such charges and expences they shall sustain in the execution of this Trust nor be answerable for the loss of any Money except by their own wilful neglect or be answerable each for the other but each for his own Act and receipts only And I Constitute the said Anna Maria Griffiths Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking any former Will by me made and ratify this Writing as and for my last Will In Witness whereof I the said Mary Arundell have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Second Day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty Eight
