Joseph Churchill 1750

This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Churchill of Castlethrupp in the County of Bucks Yeoman I Recommend my Soul to Almighty God and my Body I Committ to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named and as for such Temporal Estate I dye possessed of I give and Dispose thereof as follows I Will that all Just Debts I shall owe at the time of my Decease together my ffuneral Expences be paid and Satisfied I give to my Daughters Anne Phebe Elizabeth ffrances Mary and Isabell one hundred pounds each and my Will is that in Case one or more should dye before Marring or being Twenty one Years of Age I give the Legacy of her or them so dying to be equally Divided amongst the Survivors to be paid at the times aforesaid in Augmentation of their fortunes And my Will further is that my Executors Apply the Interest of the said Legacys towards their Maintenance Under and Subject to the Proviso hereafter mentioned I make my Dear Wife Anne and my Son Joseph Executrix and Executor of this my Will and to whom I give all the Remainder my Personal Estate of what nature soever but in case my Wife should Marry again then and in Such case and under this Proviso If she Marrys before my Son is arrived at the Age of Eighteen Years I Renounce and Make her being Executrix with my Son and the bequest of half the Remainder of my Personal Estate to her with my Son and in Such Case I make my Son Sole Executor of this my Will and Direct that my Trustees pay her the sum of One Hundred and ffifty pounds In lieu thereof and that She be accountable for all Such part of my personal Estate she has received and I desire and Appoint my Brother Benjamin Churchill and my Cousin William Kitelee to be trustees and Overseers to see this my Will performed to whom I give all power and Authority I can to do the same and hope they Will accept of Two Guineas each as a Small Token of my regard for them And I Revoke all former Wills by me hereto fore made and do Ratify this writing Contained in one Sheet of paper as my last will In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Eleventh day of ffebruary In the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and ffifty Joseph Churchill Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Testator as and for his his (in original) last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have Subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereunto in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other Edw.
