In the Name of God Amen I John Nicholls of Castle Thrup in ye County of Bucks Being in perfect Memory tho’ weak in Body do Make this my last Will and Testament this third day of April in ye Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Nine and in ye Second Year of our Sovereign Lord George of Great Brittain etc King Defender of ye faith Imprimis I give Unto my wife Jane Nicholls the Sum of Nine pounds of Lawfull Money of England and to ye Child that my wife is With Child of the Sum of Thirty pounds when it Comes to ye Age of Twenty one Years But if my Money and Stock in Trade Doth not Amount unto ye said Sum of Thirty pounds then it Shall be deducted from ye Childs Sum of Thirty pounds by my Executor which I desire him ye said Executor Hereafter Nominated to Dispose of my Effects to ye Best Advantage that he Can in a Short time and if my wife Should be Reduced to want Some of ye Sum of Thirty pounds before ye Child Comes to Age of Twenty one Years then my Executor Shall Remitt them Some as he think proper and take it from ye Sum of thirty pounds due to the Child giving my wife and Child a Fair Account How he Orders my Effects and that he puts ye said Sum out to Interest that my wife may have ye: Interest to Bring up her Child, but if my Child should die then I give Unto my Wife Jane Nicholls and to her Heirs the Said Sum of thirty pounds Lastly I give unto my Brother Thomas Nicholls ye Sum of five Shillings Making him Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Wittness Whereof I have Set my Hand and Seal ye Day and Year above Written the Mark of John Nicholls Sealed and Declared in ye presence of us Robert Walker the Mark of William Gadsden John Johnson
