In the name of God Amen I Mary Travell of Castlethorpe in the Countie of Bucks Widow being sick in bodie but of good and perfect Remembrance Thanks be given to Allmightie God for the same doe make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and fforme following ffirst I bequeath my soule unto Almightie God who Created it unto Jesus Christ who Redemed it And to the Holy ghost who sanctified and preserved me Three persons and but one God whom I doe adoure and will acknowledge forever. And my bodie unto the earth from where it Came to be buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named Item I doe give and bequeath unto my sone Thomas Travell ffortie shillings to be payd to him after my decease If he bee then Living Item I doe give and bequeath unto my sonne William Travell Twelve pence Item I doe give and bequeath unto Thomas the sonne of my sonne Robert Travell Twentie shillings Item I doe give and bequeath unto my Goddaughter Mary Nicholls Six pence Item I doe give and bequeath unto my daughter Landon twelve pence. Item I do give and bequeath unto Mary the daughter of Richard Penne the Summe of Twentie shillings And unto Rich the sonne of Richard Penne the somme of Tenne shillings And to his two Brothers Tenne shillings a peece To be payed illeg them the sayd Mary and Richard the sonne and to the said Richard Two Brothers severallie and respectively within halfe a yeare after my decease Item I doe give and bequeath unto John Travell sonne of John Travell my sonne Twentie shillings halfe a yeare after my decease Item I doe give and bequeath unto Mary the daughter of my said sonne William Travell Twentie shillings Item I doe give and bequeath unto Prudence Travell sister of the sayd John the sonne of my Sonne John Travell Twentie shillings To be payed unto her att her Accomplishment of Age of One and Twentie yeares Item I doe give and bequeath unto John the sonne of my sayd sonne Robert Travell the Summe of Twentie shillings And I doe hereby freely forgive and acquit the said Thomas Travell my sonne of all Sume and summes of monie by him now oweing to me And my wills that in Case any of my Children or Grandchildren happen to depart this Life before thy receive their severall and respective Legacies or Legacie herein menconed according to the true meaning hereof That then ye Legacie and Legacies of him her or them so dying shall goe and remayne From Time as they fall unto the survivor or Survivors of them then Living To be payd and divided among them by my Executors hereafter named share and share alike Item All the rest of my goods Cattles and Chattles Debts dutyes and personall estate whatsoever herein be[given] and disposed of ( My debts Legacies and ffunerall Expences being payd and discharged I doe give and bequeath to Nicholas Rawlings and Henry Newman the elder whom I doe make nominate and appoint joint Executors of this my Last will and Testament in trust and upon this Speciall Trust and Confidence that they or the survivor of them shall and doe within Convenient Time after my decease divide and dispose thereof amongst my Two Children (to wit) Robert and Alice share and share alike And I doe give and bequeath unto my sayd Executors ffive shillings a peece for their paines desiring them to pove this my Will according to the true meaning hereof And I doe make Overseers of this my Last Will and Testament my Loving friends and Neighbours Thomas Nicholls and William Newman to see the same performed to whom I doe give Six pence a peece for this paines And I doe hereby revoke All other and former wills by me made In witness whereof I the sayd Mary Travell have hereunto put my hand and seale The One and Twentie day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Six hundred ffiftie and Six according to ye Computation of the Church of England 1656 The marke of Widd Travell Sealed Subscribed and published by the said Mary Travell in the presence of The marke of Abigaile Church Rich Scott
