Aug. 30th. I believe I must get ye to pay Mr. Butler's £4.9.0 this I think I so said in my last, but ye said nothing so it … anything we have formerly talked of for Dr. Rolt.

Sept. 9th. 1712
I shall be obliged to borrow ye money, Tho. Clever will let ye have 30 or 40 shillings for some of which for Dr. Rolt which ye think proper, may it be rent at first opportunity.

The above I sent the last week directed for Dr. Rolt at Aldrington; praying hearty respect to that honest gentleman and give him a note of the number and quality of the said cargo ( taking no notice of the price) that he see if it come to his hands I good order, and that none of the bottles were changed &c. Such an account should have been put into ye hamper but was ( … hast) forgotten: This I hope will please both yourself and him being the best of my judgement jointly with Mr. William Kingston Merchant and are good commoditys each in their kind. I had Cleaver charge ye with the carriage to Towcester, and afterwards to Alderington.

20th. July 1682 Thomas Clarke of Clifton Bucks. Labourer paid £62 by Samuel Rolt for all that tenement with appurtenances being in Alderton late in the tenure or occupation of Richard Springall………. Twyford Field, Banslade, Birchfield, Woodfield.
