This pair of cottages may well have been a single dwelling at one time. It would appear that the right-hand half was rebuilt, possibly following a fire. The style of the southern gable is very similar to that of the older section of Manor Farm in Willen Road. The name derives from Burley on the Hill in Rutland, the seat of the Finch family, who owned the village estate. It is possible that they used this building when visiting the village.

LH part timber framed with colourwashed brick infilling and ground floor, thatched roof with end chimney, 2 storeys with 1 3-light upper casement cut into thatch, 2 3-light casements to ground floor. RH part red brick with one bay of timber framing to left, tiled roof, brick gable parapet with kneelers to RH, flanking chimneys. 2 storeys and attic door to LH in open wood porch, 2 3-light casements to each floor RH gable has lean-to porch, 1 2-light casement and blank recess to 1st floor with segmental arches and hoodmoulds, 2 1-light attic windows.
