The name 'Nurses Cottage' is fairly modern deriving from the fact that the District Nurse lived there in the mid twentieth century. Listed building The building was listed in 1975 with listing particulars as follows. SP 83 NE MILTON KEYNES MILTON KEYNES VILLAGE 4/76 No.10, Nurses Cottage II Cottage. C17 altered. Timber framed with colourwashed brick infilling, thatched roof, flanking brick chimneys, 1 storey and attic, north front has 2 2-light casements to ground floor, 1 eyebrow dormer. S. front has glazed lean-to conservatory and 2 eyebrow dormers. East wing of colourwashed stone and brick with old tile roof, half-hipped gable to street, with door and 3-light casement to ground floor, 3-light attic window. |
