Long St., Castlethorpe Rd., Western Drive, and Hanslope Combined School and Stocking green farm

Stokes Manor, built in 1450 by Thomas Stokes
Stokes Manor was a boarding school for boys from before 1786 - c.1800. It was on the site of Western Drive and the Watts Arms.
Hales Folly Farmhouse c.1970
A boarding school for girls was established here about 1853 by Agnes A Slade. At some time before 1881 the school moved to Stony Stratford and was called York House school.

Village Hall, previously known as Church End School, Squire Watts, National, Feoffee and Top School!
Built c.1840 by the Watts family and ran until 1876. The Feoffee Charity opened a school in this building in July 1877 and ran it until 1896 when it handed control over to the Hanslope School Board. Photo from Kitchener Collection
Long Street (Green End or Bottom) school c.1900
The right half of the building was a house occupied by the head master, Mr Quixley and his family. HDHS archive

Hanslope Combined School c.2010
This school was built just behind the site of the old Long St. School which caught fire and was demolished in 1969.

Programme of the memorial service held for Miss French, who died as a result of burns from a fire at Church End School on Dec.19, 1919.
